What Is Counselling?

Counselling is a confidential, caring, supportive, and non-judgmental environment to help you find a way through any difficulties you may be facing. The counsellor will offer you honesty, empathy and respect while exploring issues you feel you would like to discuss. The counselling offered is non-directive, meaning you can talk about anything you want to explore: past, present or future concerns.Your counsellor will collaboratively help you to explore and find your own solutions. Counselling isn't right for everyone or even during certain periods of life. This is one of the reasons that Fylde Private GP offers a free initial telephone session where you and the counsellor can discuss whether counselling is appropriate for your needs.

How might it help?

  • Positive Behaviour Changes

  • Stress Relief

  • Decreased Depressive Symptoms

What counselling isn't
